Resources

A resource is a shared planning asset that missions and operations draw on — for example a map feature or area, a work area, or a queue point.

What it is

Resources are the reusable pieces of your operating environment. Instead of re-describing where work happens every time, you define it once as a resource and reference it from the tasks that need it. Typical resources include:

  • Map features and areas — shapes or routes on the map
  • Work areas — the zone a job is performed in
  • Queue points — locations robots use to line up or stage

How it works

  • Shared. Resources are planning assets available to the fleet, so multiple missions and operations can reference the same one.
  • Referenced by work. A mission template can target an area or feature; an operation can use routes and work areas. The resource provides the "where," while the mission or operation provides the "what."
  • Missions — tasks that target areas and features
  • Operations — jobs that use routes and work areas
  • Spatial directives — geofenced zones that carry rules, related to but distinct from resources
