Share a Fleet with Another Organization

Goal: Give another organization access to one of your fleets, with a role cap and an optional expiration date.

Before you begin

  • You must be an Owner or Admin of the fleet's owning organization, and you administer the organization you want to share with.
  • Sharing grants every member of the other organization access to the fleet, capped at the role you choose.

Steps

  1. In the top navigation, click Fleet.
  2. Select the fleet you want to share in the fleet sidebar.
  3. Click Edit Fleet. The Edit Fleet dialog opens.
  4. Under Organizations with Access, check the box next to the organization you want to share with. (The owner organization is always included and can't be removed.)
  5. Choose a Role for that organization. This is the cap — no member of that organization can exceed it on this fleet:
    • Manager, Planner, Operator, or Viewer.
  6. (Optional) Set an Expiration date. Access is automatically removed after that date.
  7. Click Save Changes.

The other organization's admins can now fine-tune individual members' roles on the Fleet Permissions page, up to the cap you set.
