Share a Fleet with Another Organization
Goal: Give another organization access to one of your fleets, with a role cap and an optional expiration date.
Before you begin
- You must be an Owner or Admin of the fleet's owning organization, and you administer the organization you want to share with.
- Sharing grants every member of the other organization access to the fleet, capped at the role you choose.
Steps
- In the top navigation, click Fleet.
- Select the fleet you want to share in the fleet sidebar.
- Click Edit Fleet. The Edit Fleet dialog opens.
- Under Organizations with Access, check the box next to the organization you want to share with. (The owner organization is always included and can't be removed.)
- Choose a Role for that organization. This is the cap — no member of that organization can exceed it on this fleet:
- Manager, Planner, Operator, or Viewer.
- (Optional) Set an Expiration date. Access is automatically removed after that date.
- Click Save Changes.
The other organization's admins can now fine-tune individual members' roles on the Fleet Permissions page, up to the cap you set.
