Create a Mission
Goal: Build a reusable mission template that you can dispatch or schedule to robots later.
Before you begin
- You need permission to create missions (typically Fleet Planner or Fleet Manager).
- If your mission works over an area, deploy the relevant feature first. See Deploy features to a robot.
Steps
- In the top navigation, click PathLab.
- On the toolbar, click Make Mission. The Mission Designer opens.
- In Mission Name, enter a name (for example,
Field Mowing Template). - (Optional) Add a Description of what the template does.
- Select the Spatial Feature the mission operates on (such as a boundary or coverage path).
- Choose the Required Capabilities a robot must have to run this mission.
- Set any Mission Parameters the template needs.
- Click Save to store the template.
Saved templates appear in the Templates panel and are available when you dispatch or schedule missions.
