Dispatch a Mission

Goal: Send a mission template to a robot right now.

Before you begin

  • You need a saved mission template. See Create a mission.
  • You need permission to dispatch missions (typically Fleet Operator, Fleet Planner, or Fleet Manager).

Steps

  1. In the top navigation, click PathLab.
  2. On the toolbar, click Assign. The Assign Mission dialog opens.
  3. Under Robot, choose how to target the mission:
    • Specific Robot — pick one robot from the list.
    • Any Capable Robot — select several candidates; the mission goes to the first available one.
  4. (Optional) Check Only Show Robots with Required Capabilities to filter the list.
  5. Under Mission, select the template to dispatch.
  6. Under When to Deploy, select Deploy Now.
  7. (Optional) Set the Expected Duration.
  8. Confirm to dispatch the mission.

Watch the run begin in the Missions panel.
