Features and Layers
The Features panel lists every map layer in your workspace — boundaries, zones, paths, rows, and points — and controls their visibility, editing, and deployment to robots. Open it with the Features toolbar button.
Each layer row has a visibility toggle and a status. Layers are draft until you deploy them, then become deployed:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Unsaved | Exists only in your current session (just drawn, generated, or received from a robot). Not yet stored. |
| Draft | Saved to your workspace but not yet sent to any robot. Selectable when building missions and operations. |
| Deployed | Saved and sent to at least one robot. |
Layer actions
- Save stores an unsaved layer as a draft.
- Deploy sends the layer to robots so they can use it. See Deploy features to a robot.
- The per-layer context menu offers edit, duplicate, copy GeoJSON, and delete.
- Clear Temporary Targets removes all unsaved layers at once, leaving your saved and deployed layers intact.
Layer roles
Each layer has a role that tells robots how to treat it — for example accessible (allowed) area, keep-out zone, mission zone, target zone, coverage area, path, or rows. Coverage planning sets these roles automatically; you choose them when drawing or importing.
