Handle Faults and Alerts

Goal: Review robot faults and the alerts inbox, and acknowledge alerts.

Before you begin

  • You need a fleet selected in PathLab.
  • Faults are reported by robots. Alerts are raised when a command you send fails (for example, a timeout or a robot rejection).

Steps

  1. In the top navigation, click PathLab.
  2. Open the Faults panel from the toolbar (or the Faults item in the sidebar). It lists active robot faults, sorted by severity and time, with the robot, category, and details.
  3. Review each fault and take the appropriate action on the affected robot.
  4. Open the Alerts inbox from the sidebar. New alerts show an unread count.
  5. Read each alert. Where available, it names the command that failed and who sent it.
  6. Acknowledge an alert to clear it from the inbox. Opening the inbox marks alerts as seen, and acknowledging removes them once the server confirms.
