Make an Operation

Goal: Build a multi-step operation, such as a haul job or a series of routes, from a preset or from scratch.

Before you begin

  • You need permission to create operations (typically Fleet Planner or Fleet Manager).
  • Deploy the features your operation references (queues, load and dump locations, routes) first. See Deploy features to a robot.

Steps

  1. In the top navigation, click PathLab.
  2. On the toolbar, click Make Operation. The operation builder opens.
  3. In Operation Name, enter a name.
  4. Choose a Preset to set up the step structure:
    • Haul Job — pick up at a load location and deliver to a dump location, with routes between them.
    • Series of Routes — run a sequence of routes in order.
    • Charge / Refuel, Field Rows Coverage, Advanced, or None.
  5. Fill in the preset's fields. For a Haul Job, set the queue, Load Location, Maximum Loads, the route to and from the dump, and the dump location with its limits and spacing.
  6. (Optional) Add Prerequisites that must be satisfied before a step runs.
  7. (Optional) Assign capable robots to the operation.
  8. Submit to create the operation.

Track and control operations from the Operations panel, where each one has Stop, Resume, and Schedule… controls.
